There's an <A HREF="http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/fc9a6be4-7aa5-11dd-adbe-000077b07658.html" REL="nofollow">article</A> in today's FT that the billions spent on the collider in CERN is probably the last bit of money to be spent on such arcane study.
