Here's an absolutely hilarious development. The American Family Network - a fundamentalist Christian organisation filled with froth-at-the-mouth types - believes that the use of 'gay' is euphemistic, and endeavours to replace all occurrences of the word by 'homosexual' in news reports that it publishes on its website. Naturally, any blind search-and-replace is fraught with peril, as they discovered to their discomfiture, when the blogosphere cottoned on to them. The US athletes Rudy Gay and Tyson Gay were referred to as Rudy Homosexual and Tyson Homosexual.
